Weather permitting, the summit provides awe-inspiring panoramic views ranging from Annapurna to Kanchenjunga, with a glimpse of the majestic Mount Everest. Continue your journey along the trail, following the scenic ridgeline and traversing through forests until reaching Serlo Monastery. Perched atop Junbesi Village, this monastery is a prominent spiritual hub in the Phaplu region, dating back to the 1400s. Kathmandu SightseeingVisit first the iconic Swayambhunath Temple, also known as the Monkey Temple. Situated atop a hill, this UNESCO World Heritage Site offers panoramic views of the Kathmandu Valley. Admire the magnificent stupa adorned with gold and colourful prayer flags, and explore the surrounding shrines and temples.
Visit Patan Durbar Square, an ancient city that is renowned for its well-preserved Newari architecture, intricate woodwork, vibrant marketplaces and stunning pagodas. Explore this UNESCO World Heritage Site, and marvel at the impressive palace complex and visit the Patan Museum to view ancient artifacts, and discover the traditions that have thrived in Patan.
Next, visit Boudhanath, Nepal’s largest stupa and another UNESCO World Heritage Site. Participate in a private Solka Puja, a traditional prayer ceremony, conducted by the monks at Guru Lakhang Monastery. Experience the spiritual essence of Buddhism as you take part in pujas and engage in Kora, a meditative walk around the stupa.
