Tour Itinerary

  • Welcome to Kathmandu, Nepal!

    Upon arrival at the airport, your representative will greet you and take you to your hotel. Enjoy a special sunset rooftop dinner overlooking Nepal’s largest stupa and the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Boudhanath Stupa. The area was once a central trade route that now protects Tibetan Buddhist culture and traditions. Explore the area, and walk around the stupa to get good luck.

    Kathmandu Valley encompasses three old kingdoms: Kathmandu, the capital city of Nepal, Patan and Bhaktapur. Kathmandu valley is ornate with palaces, intricate pagodas and monumental stupas which are testament to the artistic talent of the Newars (natives of the valley). The Newari craft was held in high regard by the kings of Malla and the Mongol rulers of 18th century China. The Gopala and Kirati dynasties were the first rulers, followed by Licchavi (300-879 AD), who flourished in trade and crafts.

  • Early in the morning you will be taken to the airport for your helicopter flight to the Everest Region. The first stop is at Lukla airport (2,860 m). The helicopter will land for approx. 15 minutes to refuel, before flying to Pheriche (4,371 m). Explore the high-altitude quaint stone village before continuing to Everest Base Camp at Kala Patthar (5,643 m).

    Upon landing at Kala Patthar, you will have around 20 minutes to explore the area and take photos (the shot time is due the effects of the extreme high-altitude). After standing close Mt. Everest have a short helicopter flight over the Everest Base Camp, before flying to Hotel Everest View (3,780 m) to have breakfast amongst the majestic Himalayan mountains. After around an hour, return to Lukla for refueling before returning back to Kathmandu. Return to the hotel to spend the rest of the day at your leisure. Relax after reaching the highest point on earth over a complimentary 1-hour foot massage.

  • An immersive full-day sightseeing tour of Kathmandu Valley. Start by visiting the UNESCO World Heritage Site, Swayambhunath, also known as the Monkey Temple. The temple is situated atop a hill offering panoramic views of Kathmandu valley. The large domed stupa is surrounded by a variety of small shrines and temples, each ornate and luxuriously decorated with gold and vibrant prayer flags and is considered holy to Tibetan Buddhists and Hindus. The site is believed to date back to 460 A.D. and was reconstructed by King Manadeva in the 13th century.

    Then, visit Kathmandu Durbar Square, a UNESCO Heritage Site with over fifty temples, including the temple of the titular deity, Taleju Bhawani. The Durbar diverges into two courtyards, the outer Kasthamandap, Kumari Ghar, and Shiva-Parvati Temple, and the inner section consisting of Hanuman Dhoka and the main palace. Some floors of the main palace have been converted to museums dedicated to three generations of Shah kings of Nepal and also showcase some ornaments from the medieval periods. Thus, the palace is also known as “the Museum of Temples”. The outer courtyards around Gaddi Baithak include handicraft shops, while outside of Durbar Square is Ason Bazar which is known for its architectural sights and charming ambience with the hustling and bustling of the locals in the spices and vegetable market.

    Visit Patan Durbar Square, also known as the city of artisans, Patan is a place where fine arts are highly prized. It is home to the finest artisan of the Kathmandu Valley, who have preserved such ancient techniques and the lost wax technique used to create exquisite sculptures. The city is considered one of the oldest Buddhist cities in the world, with many temples and shrines. The former Royal Palace of Patan houses a museum with bronze statues and religious objects. The palace (museum) has three main squares – Central Mul Chowk, Sundari Chowk, and Keshav Narayan Chowk. Apart from the museum, Patan includes Hiranya Varna Mahavihar (Golden Temple), Golden Window, and Mahabouddha Temple as its major attractions.

  • After breakfast, leave the valley and drive to Bandipur, a unique town preserved with a unique history and Newari culture.
    Spend the rest of the day at your leisure to explore the retained historic architecture and culture, with several day hiking destinations to choose from.

    Drive Duration: Approx. 5 hrs.

  • Drive to Pokhara, the gateway to the Annapurna Himalayan range. This beautiful lakeside city is surrounded by majestic mountain views and is an oasis of tranquillity with clean stone-paved streets and a plethora of shops, cafes, and restaurants. Pokhara offers a variety of adrenaline inducing activities as well as numerous tourist attractions.

  • Early morning 2.5km cable car ride up to Sarangkot will award you with spectacular views of the Himalayas. Sarangkot is a picturesque village perched on a ridge at an altitude of 1,600 meters, offering one of the best panoramic views of the Himalayas, such as Dhaulagiri, Annapurna and Manaslu. This place is mainly visited in the early morning to watch the sunrise and is also becoming more popular for paragliding activities and cable car rides. (optional add-on: cable car ride down or paragliding down)

    Return to the hotel for breakfast, before visiting Pumdikot, a viewpoint with a  16m high statue of Lord Shiva with 108 Shiva Linga surrounding it. Located at an altitude of 1,500 m, just above World Peace Pagoda, is the Pumdikot Viewpoint offering impressive views of Mt Dhaulagiri, Mt Annapurna, Mt Machhapuchhre, and of the city that includes Phewa Lake, Pokhara city, paragliding, Pame, Sarangkot, and a few other tourist destinations.

    Visit Peace Pagoda while returning back to the Pokhara Valley. The Pokhara Shanti Stupa, or Peace Pagoda, located at an altitude of 1,100 meters, is a pagoda built in the pagoda style of the Nihonsan Myoboji monks. The word “Shanti” means peace in Sanskrit and is also widely used in Nepali and Hindi. Shanti Stupa means Peace Tower. The shrine was built as a symbol of peace. Nepal is home to two of the world’s eight peace pagodas and the other Shanti Stupa is located in Lumbini, the birthplace of Buddha. The peace pagoda in Pokhara offers panoramic views of the Annapurna Mountains, Pokhara City and Fewa Lake.

  • Breakfast at the hotel, before driving to Chitwan National Park, the first national park in Nepal (established in 1973). Rich in a subtropical environment, the National Park is home to a total of 68 mammal species, 544 bird species and approx. 26 fish species. The park is especially renowned for its protection of One Horned Rhinoceros, Royal Bengal Tiger and Gharial Crocodile.

    Driving Duration: 6 hours

  • Early breakfast at the hotel, before experiencing the thrill of a jungle walk safari inside the dense forest of the Chitwan National Park accompanied by an expert naturalist. Get the chance to see one-horned rhinoceros’ birds and other animals.

    After lunch, enjoy boating down the Rapti River with the picturesque view of the Himalayan foothills and a chance to spot rhinoceroses, elephants, gharials, monkeys, abundant bird life and perhaps a tiger or sloth bear.

  • Enjoy an adventurous half-day jeep safari in a specially designed 4×4 vehicle.

  • Drive back to Kathmandu along the highway that takes you over rugged hills and valleys.
